Need a casket? You can now get one at www.walmart.com.
They start at $995 and top out at $3,199.
The manager of Walmart Supercenter in Kirksville told KTVO the store just started offering caskets for sale on its website this past December.
"Walmart is always innovative and trying new things, and this is just another way to help consumers save money and also help our business," said Doug Nichting, manager of Kirksville’s Walmart Supercenter.
Once you buy a casket online, you can have it shipped straight to the funeral home of your choice. Nichting said he knows of at least one person locally who has done this.
Walmart.com even sells caskets for pets.
Costco also sells caskets on its website as do several other online companies.
